My family and I did a 3 day rental for a golf cart. The staff were very friendly at pick up and the cart was freshly cleaned. I will say that they clean the seats with bleach and unfortunately my shorts were ruined by the bleach after sitting on the cart for the first time. While I appreciate the cleanliness they provide I would advise you bring a towel you’re not attached to or ensure the seats are dry before sitting on them if you value the clothes you are wearing. On day 2 of our rental our cart wouldn’t start and they were very quick to bring us a new one no questions ask for the rest of our time there. Overall I am pleased with the service we received.

Enjoyed the customer service provided by Dale and his attention to detail in giving us suggestions as it was our first time visiting Port A.
I did notice his pricing is a bit higher than other companies and the carts do run a bit slower than others BUT the customer service was amazing and helped me overlook those details. I am happy supporting a local and caring owner than a bigger company any time! We will definitely use him again when we come again!

The carts are $150 per day, which felt overpriced for what was provided. There was no radio or Bluetooth capability, and the cart we received was showing its age. Cart #3 had a worn-out seatbelt release button that left me stuck and buckled in several times, which was both frustrating and a safety concern.

After doing a little research, I found several other rental companies in the area offering newer carts with Bluetooth audio for around $100 per day. Had I known that beforehand, I would have chosen a different option.

I would recommend that management either lower the rental price or invest in updating and maintaining the carts to better match what guests can find elsewhere.

Golf carts are wore out.. I told the gentleman that was running the shop the cart would not stop he was telling me there was nothing wrong with them. My suggestion is go to Peyton's golf rental
Response from the owner:It was a pleasure meeting you as well. Thank you for bringing to our attention the issue with the cart not stopping upon your return after the 3-hour rental. We prioritize the safety of our customers and the functionality of our carts. Therefore, we conduct thorough inspections, including pre-rental and post-rental checks. To fully understand your concern, I operated the cart in your presence, performing acceleration and braking tests, I did hear the noise at the stopping point and it is being addressed. These tests were conducted in both forward and reverse, twice, to ensure the braking system functioned correctly. Subsequently, and after expressing our appreciation for your visit to Port Aransas, I re-tested the cart, confirming its proper stopping capability. Further testing was also conducted yesterday, with the cart operating without any issues. We are always happy to offer customers an alternative cart, if available, during their rental period should they have any concerns. We take any reports of brake malfunctions very seriously, as they represent a significant safety hazard. Therefore, we promptly investigated your concern upon your report. We offer a selection of both new and well-maintained carts, allowing customers to choose based on their individual preferences. We understand that customer expectations may vary, and we are committed to meeting those needs while upholding the highest safety standards for all of our rental equipment.

We had an amazing experience with Island Surf Shop and Golf Carts. My 3-year-old daughter and I had the best time, and their service made the day even better.
Their prices are by far the best in the area, and the customer service was excellent. I was in and out in less than five minutes, which made everything quick and stress-free.
What really stood out is that they rent by the hour, so you only pay for the time you actually need. A lot of other places require a full-day rental, which can get expensive. This saved me both time and money.
I’m very grateful for the experience and will definitely be coming back. Highly recommend! Plus we rode the cart for over an hour and a half , and only spent $1.50 to fill up.
